Weekend hyjinks

Ok so the name of the blog today might lead you to think that we actually got up to something today.  Hmmm.  Not so much.  Started out the weekend with what REALLY matters when Cath comes up.  The laundry got done.  Into town to the coin laundry and then hang things up in the trees to dry.
Too bad they will all smell like smoke since it is very smokey here.  Yesterday it was pretty clear, and over night the smoke came in.  The day turned into a weird out-of- this-world kind of thing with first a yellow sky, then a pink one, and back to yellow.  Right now there are a few rain drops coming down, so maybe it will settle all the smoke.
Sometimes Len uses a real hammer
Len took a bit of a rest on Saturday, went for a walk in the Walker Valley with Cath and Banjo.  Sunday he stayed in bed until 8:30.  Shocking.  Then to work finishing up the last of the floor and covering over the openings where the fireplace support and stairs will be. We don't want anyone falling through as we raise the timberframe.

Cath started work on the new path which leads up from the RVs next to the future garden.  It was a hot muggy day so we just did the minimum.
This is Cath shoveling where the new path is going.
Ended the day with some TV shows on the computer (Heros and House).  We finished watching the last season of Greys Anatomy yesterday so will have to wait for the next season.    Tomorrow is a holiday, so can't buy anything we need, and that means we will just work around here until it is time for Cath to head home.  Looking forward to having the timbers for the timber frame arriving next weekend.  In the meanwhile, maybe a few more walls will get put up.
