Post-Visit Depression

It seemed like a pretty quiet day after everyone left.  Len spent the day finishing up some electrical work outside, putting on lights and plugs, etc.  He also cleaned up the yard, and got a load of garbage ready to go.  Wouldn't you know it, it was a beautiful warm day now that our company is gone.
One of the many plugs

I did some cleaning and laundry and also went into town to pick up some supplies.  I also spent some time doing the large blog for the weekend.  I filled the nail holes in the window trim and gave them another coat of paint - starting to look finished!

Today Len is working on the venting for the septic system.  He had to go up on the roof to drill a hole and then he worked in the attic to get all the venting put together.  Not very glamorous, but it has to be done.

Can you spot Len on the roof?

There he is!

I was working on the computer today, then made some banana loaf.  Not quite as productive as when we had so much help.
One for now, two for the freezer

The day is pretty breezy, but warm.  Len is able to run around in his t-shirt again.

Maybe I will get inspired to paint some more trim this evening, once we haul it into the house.  Or maybe not.  Maybe a nice hot-tub soak?

More tomorrow.

  1. So many choices and time to pursue them :-)
I noticed Len using a ladder to get into the attic. If your looking for a great attic stair - I can recommend http://calvertusa.com/id20.html
They are pricy - but if you use the attic for storrage and want to make getting up and down easy - these units are worth considering.

  2. We plan to spray cellulose insulation over the whole area so won't be using it for storage and hope not to be going up there. Only have to have the access for the building code here. We've seen those nifty stairs but won't have a good excuse to buy any!
