Up up up it goes
Today we said goodbye to Mom and Dad who left on their trip in the RV. We took an hour and ran into town to get propane and retrieve things out of the storage locker. Then we got right back at it. We got quite a system going to make sure the rebar, zip ties, and strengthening supports got put in the right way. Now we are to the last few rounds which have to be stacked using ladders. It slows things down a bit. We are waiting to get the bracing/scaffolds and they might not get here until Monday. We need them for the pour, to make sure the walls stay straight upright, and to help place yet more rebar (and big stuff!) just before the pour. The day was a mix of sun and cloud, a perfect working day. It is now just after a quick supper of chili and toast. The mosquitos are coming out so we must spray OFF on. It does the trick and they aren't so plentiful in the igloo of white we are building as they are in the forested parts of the lot. Here are just a few pictures. You will note how deep the abyss is and it still has 3 rows to go. Our pile of blocks is slowing dwindling. The tent is our break location as well as doggy jail for Banjo who loves to go wandering to visit all the neighbours.

how deep is your basement - looks like 3 meters or more (nice!).
