Over the weekend some actual progress was made. The weather smartened up for Sunday when we had 24 hours without a downpour! When Cath came out after cleaning the Kelowna house and saying a final goodbye, she did not come empty-handed. While some might think the mosquito netting is a fashion statement, we say otherwise.

Over the week, Len and Ross got the walls of the shop up.

Meanwhile, Cath loaded the truck with garbage wood, cleaned up the lot, and went on Mosquito environment destruction patrol (MEDP) filling in all the puddles around , and (of course) did the cooking and cleaning. Did you know they are reporting 200 times the normal number of mosquitos? Also, they are 200 times their regular size (small birds).

The rubber boots are a must while on MEDP (and quite the fashion statement) |
Ended the weekend watching Netflix. Saw "Exit through the gift shop", a documentary about street art, among other things. We recommend it as a nice distraction from the buzzing of the bugs.
Love your sketer net - very chic. Suprised you don't talk more about them. Reminded me to send a link regarding Dick Proenneke's video's and the Sam Keith book - http://www.amazon.com/Alone-Wilderness-Dick-Proenneke/dp/B0009PUAFG/ref=pd_sim_b_1/191-7033009-6998016
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very much in keeping with the excellent video Dick made of his building.
