April's goings-on

Hi Folks.
Time sure flies when you're having fun!  We are a little behind on the blog, but you must be getting used to that by now.

For the third week of April, the goal was to have the guest quarters above the garage ready for Linda and Barry who were coming on that Friday.  That meant trim, doors, and finishing touches to the bathroom.

 To do our plans for accent tiles in the bathroom, Len had to invent a way to hold them up while they glued.  He used wood to support them, and also used them as guides for straight and true.

 On the last day, at 10 pm, Len was gluing down the last of the stair tread carpeting.

It was great to have the loft cleaned up and ready to go.  All in the nick of time.

What a difference a couple of weeks makes

Wow!  Went away for Easter and when we got back, most of the snow was gone.  We have had lovely days and warm temperatures.  I think we have moved on from winter!  Below are the LAST pictures of winter in the Cariboo!

 The laundry room cabinet and sink is finished.  Here I am doing the painting of the cabinet doors.

We have gone back into construction-mode on the garage loft.  We have primed and painted the walls, now working on getting the trim painted.  We will put down the carpet and start putting in baseboards and window trim.  Then we will be ready to put the furniture and welcome guests!
